Dr. Naveed Ikram

Dr. Naveed Ikram, a chartered IT professional, received his PhD in Computer Science (Information Systems Development Risk Management), from the University of Salford, Manchester, UK. He holds a master degree in computer science from the same university. He has more then 20 years of teaching, research, software development and implementation experience. He has taught graduate and post graduate students at international and national institutions. He has more than 20 publications to his credit. He has served on technical committees of many national and international conferences (currently member of technical committees of IARIA Fourth International Conference on Software Engineering Advances, 2010, France and IASTED International Conference on Advances in Computer Science and Engineering, 2010, Egypt). He is member of National Curriculum Review Committees for Software Engineering and Information Technology set up by Higher Education Commission (HEC). He is professional member of British Computer Society, IEEE, ACM, and Life member of Computer Society of Pakistan.

He is currently serving as Chairman, Department of Software Engineering at International Islamic University, Islamabad. He has setup Software Systems Engineering Lab with the goal of blending teaching, research and development and creating win-win situation for students, teachers, researchers, and software industry. His research interests are Requirements Engineering, Software Systems Architecture, and Software Engineering Project Management (with focus on Global Software Development and Value-Based Software Engineering using empirical methods).
